Bartosz Kolczykiewicz (Bartecky)

Illustrator based in Warsaw, Poland, student of Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts.

Pure stains, exaggerated forms and expressive lines are his secret recipe for how to create art. Those forms are standing in opposition to his ornamental site. Acknowledging history of art, especially in his artistic composition, the viewer can sense a fear or dislike for empty space - “horror vacui” as it was called in the Middle Ages. Bartecky has fallen in love with linocut, serigraphy and risoprint. His main inspiration comes from fashion, drag performances, primitive art, and dance.
